Regulations, rates - and the nitty-gritty.

Welcome to the libraries in Rebild Kommune.

Everyone is welcome here. Use the libraries as meetingpoints, sit down and read a newspaper, use the internet, write an assignment, take your kids to play with our toys, read books, play boardgames...

If you want to borrow the library's materials, you must first register as a user.

How to register

Adults over 18 can be registered in two ways:

Children under the age of 18 must have permission from their parents, and a guardian must be assigned. Following options are available:

  • Show up in person at the nearest library during our opening hours with staff ("Mød personalet"). Bring your own and the child's yellow “Sundhedskort”.
  • Register the child on the website using MitID. Click here to register your child as a user with MitID
(If you experience problems when using a phone or tablet, try doing it from a PC.)

The yellow “Sundhedskort” will function as a library card, and children can also be issued with a special library card.

If you move and change your address, or get a new email or mobile number, let us know so we can change it in your profile. If you lose your yellow “Sundhedskort” or your library card, it is very important that you notify us so that the card is not misused by others.

Users with a protected address

If you register yourself with a protected address, you must contact the staff before you can borrow materials or use digital services. This is because a municipality number must be added, which can only be done manually. If there are changes in the CPR register, the library system will receive an update, and if you are still protected, this will result in the municipality number being removed. Contact the staff to have the municipality number inserted again.

Loans and renewals

The loan period depends on the type of material, but it will typically be 14 or 30 days. To see when the individual material must be returned, you can check your receipt, your status on our website or in the app "Biblioteket".

You can renew a material twice if it is not reserved by others. Do this via your profile on the website, in the app “Biblioteket” or by contacting us. You cannot renew materials we have obtained for you from other libraries yourself, but we can help you send a renewal request to the library.

You can receive an SMS or email 3 days before the loan period expires. Should the text/email service fail, it is still your responsibility to deliver on time. The fee is not deleted in the event of an error on the SMS/e-mail service.

The library assumes no responsibility for damage that has occurred to the borrower's own hardware or software in connection with the use of borrowed materials.

Fees

If the loan period is exceeded, a fee must be paid. The rates are calculated according to the delivery dates of the materials. If several materials have a common delivery date, this results in only one fee.

We send a recall by mail or by SMS when your loan period has been exceeded by 7 days.

The fees are only created when the materials have been delivered. When the fee has been created or when compensation has been received for a material, the balance is sent to the municipality. You will then be sent an invoice by Digital post.

You lose the right to borrow if you owe DKK 200 or more in fees. Exclusion will be notified in writing with 8 days' notice.

Compensation and Exclusion

If you lose or damage any material, you must replace it. Please note that the price may be significantly higher than regular sales prices due to copyright issues and costs for re-acquisition, preparation and administration. The invoice with compensation is sent via Digital Post from Rebild Kommune.

If you lose or damage material, please contact us immediately so that you avoid any fees and only pay the replacement
